Cassandra Milosh, Director of Skating

National-level synchronized skating coach with two decades of synchronized skating experience to include 7 years with the Colonials synchronized skating team as a Juvenile, Intermediate, and Team USA Junior team skater.  Coaches skaters of all ages in synchronized skating, moves in the field, and ice dance.

  • Former assistant coach of Adrian College Varsity Synchronized Skating and Figure Skating Intercollegiate teams. Coached the Senior, Collegiate, and Open Collegiate synchronized  skating lines, plus the freestyle and solo dance skaters.  Led the Senior team to a gold medal at the Midwestern Championships in 2015, plus a 6th place finish at the 2015 Nationals Championships.  Led the Collegiate team to a 4th place finish at the Midwestern Championships and a 7th place finish at the 2015 National Championships
  • Colonials Team USA Junior team member, earning 3 National bronze medals and a gold medal at the 2002 Neuchatel Trophy in Switzerland
  • Former member of Esprit de Corps adult team representing the Hayden Recreation figure skating club, earning two consecutive National Championships
  • Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education; Elon University

 

Taylor Holz

National and International Team USA Synchronized Skater with over 19 years of competitive skating experience.  Former skater of California Gold synchronized skating teams and Adrian College Varsity synchronized skating.

Kitty Kelly McGorry

National and International competitive freestyle skater from Canada with double gold medals in figures and freestyle in both Canada and the United States.  Coaching skaters for the past 15 years, her students have competed at the Regional, Sectional, Junior National, National, and Adult National levels.

  • Principal role in Ice Capades for 7 years
  • Performer in two TV specials and performed with Ice Theatre of New York and Icesemble in Chicago
  • Founder of Redwood City Ice Theatre (formerly RWC Rockettes) in 2002, directing and choreographing their Novice, Junior, and Senior teams, taking them to an International competition in 2006
  • Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theatre; Northwestern University and Yale

Noelle Pearson

National, International and World Team USA Synchronized Skater with 14 years of synchronized skating experience, 8 years of International skating experience, and 6 years of World level skating experience.

Melissa Marshall

Melissa teaches learn to skate classes and private lessons at the Ashburn Ice House, where she has been the summer camp director for five years. She is a Professional Skaters Association figure skating coach with over nine years experience in figure skating instruction. Melissa was a member of the Capitol Steps synchronized skating team for two years while attending high school. She graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design and from Savannah College of Art and Design with a Master’s degree in Photography. Melissa is currently pursuing graduate school at George Mason University for a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education for Diverse Learners and a Licensure Certificate for Pre-K – 3rd grades.

Sydney Rose

Team Ashburn alumni who has skated and competed since the age of 8 years old.  Sydney is currently studying IDLS Elementary Education at James Madison University.  She has served as both a head coach and assistant coach to the Team Ashburn Preliminary and Exhibition teams over the past three seasons.  While she finishes her studies in college, Sydney will be serving as substitute coach for the 2016-2017 season.
